TradePI 26.5.0 Release notes

Maximilian Franz
TradePI 26.5.0 Release notes

Overview

TradePI 26.5.0 (PI 18) is a major update of the TradePI standard. This release improves multilingual support introduces a cleaner identifier-based structure, and strengthens categorisation options - especially for accessories.

The goal is a more consistent standard thats easier to map, more stable for automation, and better suited for international rollouts.

TradePI 26.5.0 represents the major APPLiA PI 18 release. Originally introduced as TradePI 5.0, the version has been renamed to align with our year-based system versioning approach. This ensures clearer release identification and better long-term consistency across system updates.

TradePI 26.5.0 was released on March 2, 2026.

Release notes - features

Features

New languages & translations

TradePI 26.5.0 extends language coverage and improves translation consistency across properties and value sets.

  • Expanded language scope
  • More complete and consistent translations
  • Closes known translation gaps that existed in older standard versions

Why this matters:
You get more reliable localised exports and fewer mixed-language values in downstream systems.

Identifier-based structure (stable IDs)

With TradePI 26.5.0, properties are consistently managed via stable identifiers (IDs), not just names.

  • More robust foundation for mapping and integrations
  • Better support for automation and future extensions
  • Reduced risk when labels or translations change
  • Language-independent mapping

Why this matters:
Mappings become more stable and easier to maintain long-term.

Better categorisation for accessories

TradePI 26.5.0 includes new and refined properties to categorise accessories more detailed.

  • Improved structure for accessory assignment
  • Better filtering and clearer separation of main products vs. accessory items

Why this matters:
Detailed assortments and more precise retailer exports.

Standard consolidation and cleanup

Between APPLiA PI 17 and TradePI 26.5.0 (APPLiA PI 18 compliant) there are approximately 23.000 changes, including:

  • New properties
  • Harmonised / updated definitions
  • Cleaned-up descriptions and value ranges

Why this matters:
Many small improvements add up to a noticeably cleaner and more consistent standard.

Important notes

  • Do not rely on property names only for technical implementations. TradePI 26.5.0 is designed around stable identifiers (IDs).
  • If you are currently using APPLiA PI 17 and experience missing translations, upgrading to TradePI 26.5.0 is the recommended path instead of patching older versions.

Recommended actions

To prepare for TradePI 26.5.0:

  • Validate your current mappings against  TradePI 26.5.0
  • Review any integrations that depend on names/labels and align them with the ID-based structure
  • Plan a short technical verification in your Content Hub (PIMS)/export setup before switching production exports
