All systems go! Tradeplace fully prepared for new EU energy labels

New EU energy labels required March 1, 2021

On February 18, 2021 Tradeplace successfully launched its Tradeplace PI 17 functionality to ensure its Product Information Management System (PIMS) is fully compliant with the EU’s new energy labelling requirements. Tradeplace’s PIMS is now fully prepared for the new EU energy label requirements which go into force on March 1, 2021.

Manufacturers are already adding compliant product information

Manufacturers are now adding the new properties on the input side of their systems. Critical for retailers is that Tradeplace has already built the facilities for all export formats on the outgoing side of PIMS.

Retailers must ensure new energy labels are visible starting March 1, 2021

The new energy label must be visible for all European consumers in all retail shops, both online and brick-and-mortar, as of March 1, 2021. After that date, retailers will have two weeks to ensure all EU consumers can see the new energy label. To ensure your retail business is ready.

Empowering EU consumers

The EU is complying with increased consumer demand for clearer information about the energy efficiency of home appliances during their selection of appliances for purchase. With the new energy labels, EU consumers will be more empowered to make the right energy-saving purchase when buying domestic appliances.
