Why is the IFA a great place to connect New?

The IFA in Berlin 5-9 September 2025. For over 100 years (!!!) the IFA has been the perfect place in Europe for the electronics industry the meet, greet and show what they offer. What makes the IFA a great place to connect? We asked two Tradeplace team members why they love visiting the IFA.

Chiel Schinning, Business Development Manager, based in Granada, Spain: "The main reason for me to go to IFA is to meet customers that I normally meet in online calls. The personal contact is important for me and IFA helps me get that additional personal touch with people that I often have worked with already. Naturally I also make new connections in the industry and look for new opportunities to help manufacturers and retailers succeed. And honestly, visiting the IFA is also fun. The IFA has a lot to offer in terms of showing new industry trends and there are many other activities, so for me it's more than just a business trip."

Karel van der Horst, General Manager, based in Munich, Germany. "What the IFA does and what Tradeplace does overlaps, if you think about it. IFA offers not only opportunities for manufacturers to show their new developments. IFA also literally connects the industry. Every year I see people from all corners of the electronics industry meeting new people and strengthening existing relationships.
