The Challenge: Balancing Central Control with Regional Flexibility
Electrolux required a product information management process that combined one centrally governed source of product information with the flexibility needed by regional organisations. Local markets needed to adapt product information to different languages, retailer requirements, regulations and marketplace standards without losing consistency. Manual localisation, retailer updates, marketplace publishing and content creation created unnecessary effort and slowed time-to-market.
About Electrolux
Executive Summary
Electrolux expanded its existing Tradeplace Content Hub environment with Tradeplace Content Central to combine central product information governance with the flexibility required by local markets. Together with Content AI, Tradeplace Connect and the Amazon Listing API, the platform automates product enrichment, localisation and omnichannel distribution. The result is a scalable product information management process that improves content quality, reduces manual work and accelerates product launches across Europe.
The Solution: Content Central on the Tradeplace Backbone
Building on its existing Tradeplace Content Hub implementation, Electrolux introduced Tradeplace Content Central to enable controlled local enrichment while maintaining central governance. Product information is imported from the central Product Information Repository into Content Central, where local teams enrich and validate product information for country and channel-specific requirements before distribution.
Tradeplace Content Hub distributes approved content to retailers and distributors across Europe. Content AI automatically generates channel-specific marketing content, while Tradeplace Connect enriches product information with commercial data such as pricing and availability. The Amazon Listing API automatically publishes and maintains listings in Amazon Vendor Central using country-specific Amazon schemas. Because Electrolux already used Tradeplace Content Hub, implementation was straightforward and has been rolled out across more than 12 European countries.
"By combining Content Central, Content Hub, Content AI, Tradeplace Message Hub and the Amazon Listing API, manufacturers can manage the complete product content lifecycle within one connected ecosystem."
The Results: Less Manual Effort, Wider European Reach
Electrolux now operates a scalable product information management process that combines central governance with local flexibility while significantly reducing manual activities. Automated enrichment, content generation and marketplace publishing have improved product information quality, accelerated product launches and enabled consistent product information distribution across Europe.
