With BSH in the role of launching customer, Tradeplace went live with Peppol. It was Tradeplace’s Direct Connection that had the scoop at the beginning of this month. This integration allows all BSH customers that have a Peppol ID to automate their accounts payable processes even further then only paperless.

After e-ordering, AO now also uses Tradeplace for product information management (PIMS). A number of other major European retailers are already using PIMS for product information. Increasingly more retailers are choosing Tradeplace since product information comes directly from manufacturers and all product data is standardised. PIMS is free of charge for retailers.
The new energy label must be visible for all European consumers in all retail shops, both online and brick-and-mortar, as of March 1, 2021. The EU is complying with increased consumer demand for clearer information about the energy efficiency of home appliances during their selection of appliances for purchase. With the new energy labels, EU consumers will be more empowered to make the right energy-saving purchase when buying domestic appliances.
A number of Tradeplace manufacturers were recognised by AO at the AO Global Partnership Conference, the British-German electronics retailer’s annual event for manufacturers which was held in December. The end-of-the-year conference was held virtually due to the coronavirus.
The high-end design bathroom market especially involves complicated orders because of its customised installations. This market especially requires close coordination and management of several types of manufacturers and suppliers for timely delivery of installations. A fully automated e-ordering process was an important step for Korver Holland to improve customer experience during the entire delivery process.
Tradeplace’s Direct Connection offered Duravit more benefits strategically since all its affiliated trade partners are also connected to its hub. Direct Connection operates within the highest level security parameters and is fully encrypted so that critical information never falls into the hands of competitors. Every supplier receives its own protected workspace and portal on Direct Connection and can maintain a complete overview of all logistical information and processes.
New pictograms will be introduced, and some pictograms will remain, that provide more and clearer information about energy efficiency such as water consumption, annual energy use, energy use per cycle, noise emission, and cooling and freezing capacity. Consumers will also be able to scan a QR code at the top right corner of the label which links them directly to the European Commission’s European Product Database for Energy Labelling (EPREL). This database contains energy efficiency information directly from manufacturers, which is considered by the industry to be the most accurate and reliable.
ERP systems that operate in the built-in kitchen appliance sector have implemented an IDM interface to import product data. Now that IDM is part of PIMS, Tradeplace can offer more accurate product information to trading partners and kitchen planning software vendors active in this sector
